Peterhead is a port town located in the north-east of Scotland, in the country code GB. It is situated on the shores of the North Sea and the climate is generally cool, damp and often very windy. Winters are typically cold and wet with temperatures rarely rising above 10 degrees Celsius. Summers are usually mild but with a cooler breeze coming in from the sea, temperatures usually stay around the mid-teens. The area is known for its strong winds, with gusts of up to 80km/h occurring regularly. Rainfall is moderate throughout the year, however, the months of July and August tend to be the driest.
