West Dunbartonshire is a council area in Scotland, located in the west-central Lowlands of the country. It is bordered to the north by North Lanarkshire and to the east by City of Glasgow. The council area includes the towns of Clydebank, Dumbarton and Alexandria, as well as the Kilpatrick Hills and the Vale of Leven. The climate in West Dunbartonshire is classified as a temperate maritime climate, with mild temperatures year-round.
