Marin City is a small unincorporated community located in Marin County, California, United States. It is located about 3 miles (5 km) south of downtown Sausalito, and is adjacent to the city of Sausalito and the town of Tiburon. The community is located on the east shore of the San Francisco Bay and is part of the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The climate in Marin City is mild year-round, with average lows ranging from mid-40s in the winter to mid-50s in the summer, and average highs from the mid-50s in the winter to the mid-60s in the summer. The area receives plenty of sunshine throughout the year, and is also subject to coastal fog during the summer months.
