The average temperature year-round is 57°F (14°C). Temperatures can reach up to 90°F (32°C) in the summer and drop to around 43°F (6°C) in the winter months. Rainfall is plentiful throughout the year, with an average of 20 inches (510 mm) per year. Snow is rare, but can occur in the higher elevations of the nearby Santa Lucia Mountains.
