Rio Linda is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California, United States. It is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 15,106 at the 2010 census, up from 11,963 at the 2000 census. Rio Linda has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers and cool winters. Summers are hot and dry, with temperatures reaching over 90°F (32°C) during the daytime. Winters are cool and wet, with temperatures typically dropping below freezing overnight and occasional snowfall. Average temperatures year-round range from the mid-50s°F (12°C) to the mid-80s°F (29°C).
