Waveney District is a local government district in the English county of Suffolk. It is located in the east of the county, to the north of the Suffolk coast and is bordered by the Norfolk districts of Broadland, Great Yarmouth, North Norfolk and South Norfolk. The district is named after the River Waveney, which forms its western and part of its southern borders. The climate of Waveney District is generally temperate, with cool summers and mild winters. The average temperature year-round is around 10°C (50°F). Rainfall is fairly consistent throughout the year and is generally moderate. Snowfall is rare in the district and usually only occurs in winter months.
