Allerdale District is a local government district located in the North West region of England and is part of the county of Cumbria. Its main towns include Workington, Cockermouth, Maryport and Wigton. The district is bordered by the Irish Sea to the west, the Solway Firth to the north, the Eden District to the east, and the City of Carlisle to the south.
